New version after 3.5 years of project sleep
As if no time happened, here's version 1.2 of Snail Ragnarök! Changelog is:
- Use Godot 3.5 instead of 3.2-beta6
- Remove Godot Wild Jam boot splash
- Fix wasp hurting after death
- Optimize sounds, sprites and font
- Add pointer cursor on buttons
- Remove MacOS from native build (exports are getting pretty strict)
This is really a minor version, which doesn't do much apart from fixing the long-standing bug of painful dead wasps.
I know, it's a bit uncommon to update a game this small after three and a half years. In the meantime, all sorts of stuff happened, like Covid, 6-7 Ludum Dares, other jams, graduating and getting a job, etc.
But if you think about it, that's not a very big amount of time, in terms of changing technology. Godot 3.x is still being maintained, I'm using the same computer as before (though I changed my phone), and I had no problem opening the project and getting back into the code.
So keep it up, game developers, and think about the past, present, and future of your games!
