I haven't finished the game yet so I don't know if you already did this, but I think it might be cool if there was a enemy that changed speed or attack speed based on your current number. Very cool game.
Very well-programmed and stylized for a 48hr jam. The gameplay itself is... frustrating. The best optimal strategy is reduced to just avoiding enemies and constantly rolling until you're lucky enough to get the number you need (a strategy that worked perfectly through the first boss), but even that relies on luck. Constantly waiting to get the correct number to roll feels like I'm waiting on the game to progress rather than seeking ways to improve my own skills/approach to progress. Perhaps a "wrong" roll can still provide something to gain?
Really loved the art, the roll mechanism, and the enemies, just not the core element of waiting.
Very fun idea, could see this being made into a full game. Personally would like someway to try and influence the result, other then just choosing it with the item, so if you get good enough you can easily bounce through sections.
Thank you! I have some ideas on moves that could be influential, like bouncing off ladybugs to steal their number, items/situations that bring "bad luck" and decrease your number, etc.
